Mac

Currently updating it. After you downloaded it, there is still 7044,31MB left to download.Edit:Now that I have tried it for a short time, I must say it is terrible. I can´t believe they found it fit to be released.Playing on bootcamp the game works splendidly on high settings, with the MAC version it is barely playable on standard settings. I expected some performance hit, but not a decrease of 30-40fps while using a lower resolution and standard setting. I just hope that SQEX will give an announcement that they will do something about this soon. While the game itself looks gorgeous, the port really is quite abominable. It goes well beyond performance issues to major graphic rendering issues, inconsistent mouse functionality (for example menu selections, or the 'X' checkbox to close windows, go dead from time to time and cannot be resurrected).

$60 and I can't go download the Windows client to have a decent experience under Boot Camp or on my PC. Wow, so disappointed. Also: cannot post to the forums because my character is 'too new'.

Lots of new players in the same boat. Click to expand.Ah yeah, I think I was remembering the limited time deal.

Don't have a console so haven't really paid attention to what's going on there. =PSupposedly people are claiming the latest small patch helped the performance. I can't help but think it's a bit wishful/placebo effect like thinking on their part as I haven't seen anything far as improvements but honestly haven't really played much since the small patch to actually tell for sure. There was a quote from some dev more or less saying they can't really do anything and may switch the client to dx11 which is lost on me. Maybe TG can fix it to perform decent like they did with GW2. Hopefully at some point certain folks are going to come to understand that using half-baked means to port apps to Mac is more often than not a waste of time and resources that does more to damage the brand than help it or certainly to promote sales and revenue. We are enjoying a time now where games like this can be ignored in favor of many other alternatives. I know, they are not FF or whatever the poorly ported game in question is but there is always some other high quality alternative to enjoy instead is what I mean. I understand that is not ideal but the responsibility for that rests with companies that fail to deliver a decent product to us.When I read about something like this, it immediately drops to the very bottom of the ocean in terms of interest level for me.

The same was true of Guild Wars 2 which I did try playing on my 27' mid-2011 iMac which had the best GPU option in it, 12 gigs of RAM, etc. And the performance was abysmal. Harvard referencing style pdf.
