Archer C7 5ghz Dropping
TP-Link Archer C7 (hardware version v2) is the most unstable-working router I ever had. It randomly stopped working at least once in two days. Sometimes I had to restart it three times a day but Internet was constantly dropping (even when connected via Ethernet) and Wi-Fi kept disconnecting all the time. My husband's laptop is an approximately 5 year old Toshiba Satellite running Windows 7. It does not have 5ghz connection capability. It will connect to the router, but then after sitting for awhile, it shows it's still connected to the router (Belkin N600) but shows 'no internet access' on the network and cannot get any webpages to load.
A few times a day my Archer C7 will drop the 5G and only broadcast the 2.4G channel and at a significantly reduced throughput. A power cycle fixes the problem until the next time. I'm unable to isolate what is causing this. The two SSIDs are different and I'm still able to access the internet, just the 5G signal is gone. Not finding much on the web as to a fix. I see threads with others having the same issue, just no solutions.
TP-Link support isn't very helpful.Any assistance is appreciated.
