I have been playing dota 2 right from day 1. Windows 7 - Windows 8 and Win 8.1 recently. They have been working perfectly fine. Yesterday I swapped my HDD and installed a new SSD, installed win 8.1 (clean install). Installed all latest drivers and then isntalled steam followed by dota (Though I had the old game in the hdd I did a fresh install). And the game keeps crashing right after it starts to open.

I have done the following after reading all the FAQ's- Reinstalled steam- Reinstalled Nvdia drivers- Reinstalled intel drivers- Reinstalled power management- Installed latest java run time/ vc run time- Dirextx looks fine (not able to reinstall) but I think this is the problem. When dota started it asked installing direct x and the window quickly closed.- Verified installation package- Tried safe mode / autoconfig etcAnd it keeps creating the accessviolation dumps.

Crusader kings 2 mercenaries mod. Just bought the various games a probably less than an hour - 2 ago (via Steam), when starting Gothic I I can change all the options and watch the intro fine but I can't start a new game, the loading screen comes up and then crashes with.

By producing 'Gothic 2 access violation error' the system shouts out for help which allows it to trim away damage to Windows 7 or any other Microsoft operating system version. The more rapidly you take measures the more the chance to reanimate the features of your OS. Somehow the game doesnt launch and play in the Steam library (Guess I'm not lucky at all). Although I've discovered my own way to enjoy the game without this 'Access Violation' nonsense. Note: Wont be able to play Gothic through Steam, but you can keep track of your playtime and show that you're in-game.
